Automotive is where the standards get set for reliability and value-engineering

There is no better industry to start an industrial career in and I am delighted that my job allows me to still work there. This tough environment has no time for waste and accepts nothing other than right-first- time. Though other sectors must focus closer on fail-safe design, the automobile sector sets the standards for systematic success.

During my operational and consulting careers I have been involved in the following automobile projects:

  • Many gap analysis projects with clear benefit recommendations
  • Supporting new managers to gain trust and create value in ailing departments or companies
  • Aligning teams to recover projects
  • Pre-planning and supporting post-merger transition phases
  • Various strategy and turnaround projects for tier 1 and 2 suppliers
  • Targeted market research in support of new product strategy projects
  • Production site optimisation and also green field planning for various tier 1 suppliers
  • 1 year inter-departmentalGraduate training programme as a BMW group employee
  • Aerodynamic development engineer as a BMW group employee
  • Supplier Quality Manager as a BMW group employee
  • Knowledge and process transfer specialist at BMW group
  • Core team Project Manager as a Webasto employee
